This website will show you how to recognize the slant in the news and will filter liberal eructation out of the phrasing.

HEADLINES AND COPY THAT CONCEALS RATHER THAN REVEALS THE TRUTH OF EVENTS

The middle East is a HOT topic. Major media and  wire services have a pronounced viewpoint which they   impose on readers and viewers  while pretending to deliver facts and news . Common  methods   are—tampering with meaning  of words, shifting context or simple exclusion.   These  two headlines  appeared in the Examiner  June 29. “Militants kill U.S. soldier held captive since April: report”   authored by (AP) news service. and: “Militant on Saudi list or 26 most wanted surrenders” also (AP)

What  impression do these headlines convey? Both headlines use the word “militants” An  emotive   word denoting a member serving in   a legitimate army. In the first headline the militants “kill’ a U.S. soldier, It’s not nice but isn’t that what militant’s are paid to do, kill the other guys?  A militant is a proper soldier in  a proper army. Soldiers kill, terrorists murder.  An appropriate headline invoking  a clearer  message tied to the truth should be, “Cowardly terrorist brutally murders  kidnapped   young  U. S. soldier.”  Fewer  words  but  the message  does not  alibi murder and exposes the evil of terrorists . Video footage of a 20 year old   blindfolded U.S. soldier, purportedly Keith  Maupin,  had  been released by terrorists. He is sitting on the ground in front of a hole into  which he was presumably pushed after he was shot.

In the second headline  “militant” surrendering.   This man is not what the headline implies. He is  not a soldier but  a murdering terrorist. Neither  the headline nor the body of the copy explain  his crime.   A reader might think his crime is as innocuous as parading around a shopping mall frightening  women and children with his zipper undone.  As the crime happened on May  13,  2003, a responsible journalist would remind readers.  This terrorist with fellow terrorists exploded three bombs in  compounds in Riyadh.   Thirty –five people including nine Americans  were murdered, 200 wounded. Crown Prince Abdullah said :”All terrorists are criminals, they are butchers.”

A  member of the military  fights other soldiers,.  this terrorist  targeted  unarmed civilians. Was he frightened because the military might shoot back or was it just more   effective to have a  public bloodbath?  An accurate  headline should read, “Terrorist  surrenders; after   bombs    murder  35 and  wound 200”

By seeming to report news   but  using carefully construed language  international   media can  quietly and consciously embed alibis and  falsehood in the minds of views and readers.

We can remain    easily manipulated patsies   or  exert   ourselves and  probe intellectually  into every report posing as  news. With political correctness  barring the way   banning clear thought and untainted discussion : it can be done but it  may be difficult. Both these headlines and stories were supplied by CP; they both reveal CP’s feeling about the USA and the war in Iraq.

ARBITRATORS AND TRIBUNALS:UNELECTED, UNTERMINATABLE; THE LIBERAL FRONTIER

Few people recognize the power of these people who bury logic and common sense in the pursuit o their own liberal agenda. The following news story  is an  example of arbitration and bureaucratic   inchoateness at work.(In this issue ‘work’ is an effort reviled by bureaucracy ).

An editorial ran in a local paper called the Community Press—this is the writwr’s response to that editorial, Regarding your   illuminating  editorial, “Ministry of Unnatural Resources.” I think it was a mistake to fire six employees from the  Ministry of Natural Resources for exchanging gross pornos on company time. It  was inevitable that a left wing arbitrator would rule  against the employer. The employer being us, the  abused  taxpayers, the arbitrator was Ken Petryshen..  Even though Mr. Petryshen  admitted  there was a major abuse of company time  and uncounted  disgusting porno e-mails were swapped containing content that ’included “…degrading and violent sexual activity, bestiality as well as sexually explicit images…”’ he ignored  his own facts and   substituted idiotic politically correct reasons  for the rehiring the employees who were expensively represented by their union’s lawyers..

In  total 99 workers were found to have exchanged  a large volume “of inappropriate material: 66  employees suffered some  form of gentle reproofs. As the entire 99  had ample time on their hands to engage in daily porno creation and exchanges  instead of  doing the  work of the Ministry,  it simply means an identical  amount of REAL work can be performed without them.  The appropriate action  for Mr. Ramsay, the Ontario Minister of Natural  Resources to take, is to lay off  the entire 99. Taxpayers would be saved a ton of dollars, the Ministry  would be cleansed of useless clutter  and it  would  be a lesson to other bureaucratic laggards and misfits.

The six employees have been lolling about for three years, the arbitrators probably decided to give them back pay.

CONSIDERED DISCRIMINATION IN THE UK

Byrl King had run an employment agency for 27 years; in that time,  uncounted individuals found respectable employment because of her efforts. She  placed  an ad for warehouse men at 8 Euros an hour(about $15.00 Can.)  In the ad she asked for “hard-working and reliable people” She was forced to cancel her ad because it  was discrimatory.   It discriminated against lazy people. It is the reflection of the attitude  of the general public. They  have been witness to too many incidents were a shoddy attitude  malfeasance  or turpitude were rewarded

As time goes on you will learn more about this man
